We all want to live an empowered life of success and happiness.
And really, there’s no big secret to it. But there’s also no overnight solution. This stuff takes hard work and commitment, but what else are you living for? Someone else’s dream? I didn’t think so. It’s time to take a step back. Somewhere along the line, you got stuck. So, let’s get you unstuck.
5 Steps to The Badass Life of Your Dreams
1. Know What You Want
Journal about it. Big things. Small things. All of it. And then ask yourself if it’s all in alignment with your higher purpose. If not, hate to break it to ya, but it’s not gonna happen. If it is in alignment with your purpose, great. It’s on.
Don’t know what your purpose is? It’s that feeling when you just know you’re making the right move. You may not know why, but it doesn’t matter because there’s no hesitation. This all comes back to checking your motive with things you “want.” You know what you’re supposed to be doing on this planet. If you have no clue, it’s time to do some serious listening, journaling and reflecting. These meditations are a great place to start.
2. Believe You Deserve It
Understand that vibrationally, the energy of any given thing you want has to match up with the vibration of the energy you are putting out (aka how you really feel about it). We have to believe we deserve the things we want. If we don’t, we won’t get them. Make a habit of checking in with your belief system often and making adjustments when needed. Here are some very common limiting beliefs many of us struggle with:
- I’m not good enough
- I’m not pretty enough
- Money is hard to come by
- I’ll never amount to anything
- I don’t deserve success
- I’m not worthy of receiving love
This is all heavy shit, but these are examples of root issues that provide the basis of your entire reality on a subconscious level. If you desire financial stability but believe money is hard to come by, you’ll always be struggling to make ends meet. Check in with where the hell in the process of your life that you adapted certain beliefs, why you adapted them, spend some time crying it out, rewrite the beliefs and close the chapter. This is your life. Fill it with beliefs (and people) that support the evolution of your consciousness, not someone else’s smallminded nonsense. Even if they’re your family. The new you has arrived and there’s no more room for this BS anymore. You can rewrite your story anytime. Our beliefs either hold us back or hold space for us to expand.
3. Stop Doing Shit You Hate
And start making time to pour energy into what you want (#1). Energy check! How are you expending your energy? Do you realize how precious it is? Notice things you’re doing that are draining you (not in alignment with your purpose) and things you do that feel energizing and empowering (in alignment with your purpose). Chuck the shit that’s sucking you dry and add in more of that good stuff that makes you feel like a rockstar. It’s all up to you, in the end. How bad do you want it?
4. Act As If It’s Already Yours
Feel. it. in. your. bones. Create the image of it in your mind and play that tape over and over. Tastes. Sounds. Smells. All of it. Know it like the back of your hand. This is the secret – the key! Use mental visualization and journaling to create a clear picture of what you want. Hold these feelings and images close in your awareness. Vision boards are a great tool. This thing is already yours. You are now simply taking the steps to get it.
5. Become A Problem Solver
This means it’s time to stop complaining and start grinding. What are the hoops you get to jump through to get this thing? You’re about to go on a kickass journey! Create a plan of action, a timeline. Set a date. Make it realistic. And write it all down.
Now, figure it out! And enjoy it every step of the way. If you fall down, get back up. Notice when you catch yourself making excuses. No one can do these things better than you because this is your dream and you know you best. I’m not saying you shouldn’t ever ask for help, but truly ask yourself first if you exhausted all your options before asking someone else a question. Are you just being lazy or do you really need help? Guidance from others is highly beneficial at times, but feel it out. Remember, no one can do this work for you. It’s empowering to figure stuff out by yourself anyways. Think of all of this as a game. Make it fun, because it should be! It’s true, you really are the only one standing in your way.
Repeat these steps for everything you want in your life! And let me know if this method ever fails you. Because it hasn’t failed me yet!
